Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania. The archipelago consists more than 17,500 islands (about 6,000 inhabited) where 238 million people live. The largest islands of Indonesia are Java, Sumatra, Borneo (shared with Brunei and Malaysia), New Guinea (shared with Papua New Guinea), and Sulawesi.
The weather of Indoneseia is tropical, hot, humid and more moderate in highlands. The climate is characterized by two tropical seasons. The climate changes every six months: there is a dry season (June to September) and a rainy season (December to March).
The country offers affordable and world class diving in several areas. Bali is one of the most popular islands amongst travelers and divers, another well-known areas are Bunaken Marine Park in Sulawesi, Komodo, Raja Ampat, Wakatobi or the Lembeh straits where the muck diving is the most attracting.
